बाल-विवाह भारत मे चली आ रही सदियो पुरानी परंपरा है । लेकिन अब यह धारणा बदल रही है । लोग अपने बच्चो को अच्छे से पड़ा-लिखा रहे है । आज भी ग्रामीण इलाको मे लोग अभी भी बाल-विवाह के प्रति इतने जागरूक नहीं हूए है और अज्ञानतावस अपने बच्चो की बचपन मे ही शादी करा देते है । जिसके चलते लड़कियाँ बहुत ही कम उम्र मे माँ बन जाती है । कम उम्र मे माँ बनने पर वह कई सारी बीमारियों का शिकार बन जाती है । आज भी लोग बहुत सारे अंधविश्वासों मे विश्वास करते है । वाल्मीकि समुदाय मे कुछ लोग बच्चो के  सात फेरो मे से साड़े तीन फेरे उनके बचपन मे ही करा देते है, बचपन मे मासूमो को यह भी नहीं पता होता है कि वो शादी जैसे पवित्र बंधन मे बंध चुके है । महिला एवं बाल विकास मंत्रालय और जिला महिला संरक्षण, भारत सरकार बाल-विवाह पर बहुत सख्त कार्यवाही कर लोगो को जागरूक कर रहा है । बचपन मे हुए बाल-विवाह पर बच्चो के माता-पिता (वर-वधू) के विरुद्ध FIR की जाती है और कोर्ट उन्हे दंडित भी करती है । बाल-विवाह निषेध अधिकारी, बाल विवाह प्रतिषेध अधिनियम-2006 के अंतर्गत इसकी सुनवाई करते है और अपराधियो को अपराध के अनुसार दो वर्ष का ...
